The Samsung Galaxy Note in Australia

The Samsung Galaxy Note was revealed last year at CeBit in Germany. The device got a luke warm response and not many had expected it to perform very well in the market. It was then released in February this year in the US and was able to muster up some generally positive reviews. The main thing that reviewers did not feel would catch on was the size of the device, which is 4.3 inches, significantly larger than any other smartphone device and making it the size of a small tablet. To everyone’s surprise, the device has done extraordinarily well, selling over 6 million units world wide in the first quarter of 2012.

In Australia, Samsung Galaxy Note plans are priced on par with regular smartphones and as such, has also sold very well.

The Nokia Lumia 800 and it’s features

Nokia is a name that is no longer associated with being one of the coolest technology companies in the world. Over the past few years, Nokia have failed at producing easy to use, up to date devices. This has meant that their market share in the smart phone area has slowly deteriorated to a small amount.

To try to stop this erosion of their market share, Nokia have teamed up with Microsoft to produce devices powered by Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform. Nokia have agreed to use Windows Mobile 7 exclusively on all their devices in return for financial incentives from Microsoft.

The first device that they will produce under this partnership is called the Nokia Lumia 800. The Nokia Lumia 800 will be the flagship model of the series and will feature a number of excellent features. The first feature is a beautiful ClearBlack AMOLED screen which allows it to produce the best black colours of any smart phone. Nokia Lumia 800 plans are great value.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is still going strong

When Samsung created its successor to the Samsung Galaxy S, it went through a process of refinement rather than re-design. This makes the Samsung Galaxy S2 one of the most refined, excellent smart phones available today.

Samsung enhanced many of the great hardware features already available on the phone. The 4.3″ Super AMOLED screen on the original Samsung Galaxy S was upgraded to the new Super AMOLED Plus screen which is thinner than it’s predecessor and also more importantly, has better power consumption. The screen also has an improved viewing angle and is, in fact, the best available viewing angle of any smart phone that is on the market today.

The screen also has helped Samsung reduce the thickness of the device overall and it now measures a mere 8.49mm which was the thinnest available on the market until Motorola introduced it’s Droid RAZR which is thinner at 7.1mm thick. Galaxy S2 plans are cheaper than ever!

What has been disappointing about the iPhone 4S?

It was probably a crazy thing to do, but many analysts questioned whether the latest iPhone would be a success.

When the iPhone 4s was announced, many people were disappointed in the fact that the phone was externally the same as it’s predecessor. The phone was, however, the success that it’s script wrote it would be.

The new iPhone 4S has sold extremely well in all markets around the world. In Australia it has done exceptionally well partly because it has a solid grip on the market. The device has been able to be sold by all the four carriers including Optus, Vodafone, Virgin and Telstra. You can actually even get the phone for free on some iPhone 4s plans.

The device itself introduces a new platform called iOS 5. This new platform is great because it comes with a huge number of new features that make the phone a joy to use.

The iPhone 4S is making big waves

The iPhone 4S has been released and the name is the same as the previous model with an S on the end. The iPhone 4S plans are priced the same as well, with no price rise for this new model.

Although the iPhone 4S appears to be exactly the same as the iPhone 4, what we don’t see is the changes under the hood. The changes aren’t Earth shattering but they do make a brilliant phone even more brilliant.

The problem they faced was that the iPhone 4′s design was already almost at perfection, so they probably wanted to stick with this design a little longer before radically changing it’s appearance. The current shape and feel is extremely stylish and solid in your hands.

It has the same beautiful screen and glass backing. The phone now has a faster processor which makes applications run even zippier than before. The camera has also been improved rounding makingphotosappear crisper and brighter.
